How to Use Your HRD Corp Levy

A simple guide for employers — brought to you by NextGen Pilot Sdn Bhd, a registered HRD Corp Training Provider.

For eligible employers, HRD Corp levy can be used to support approved employee training and workforce development programs, subject to program eligibility, available levy, grant approval, and prevailing HRD Corp requirements.

How the Process Works

From selecting a program to completing training, here is the end-to-end HRD Corp levy process in six steps.

1

Choose Your Training

Select a NextGen Pilot program or discuss a customized in-house option with our team.

2

Receive Training Documents

NextGen Pilot provides the course outline, training schedule, quotation, trainer profile, and other supporting documents.

3

Apply Through e-TRiS

Your organization submits the grant application through HRD Corp's e-TRiS platform before training begins.

4

Obtain HRD Corp Approval

Training proceeds only after grant approval and the applicable HRD Corp waiting period has been observed.

5

Complete the Training

NextGen Pilot conducts the approved program. Attendance records are maintained as part of the claim process.

6

Claims Are Processed

NextGen Pilot submits the training-provider claim. Your organization may submit claims for other eligible approved costs.

Approval Timing & Waiting Periods

Training should only commence after the grant has been approved and the applicable HRD Corp waiting period has been observed. Approved training must also commence within the period specified by HRD Corp.

In-House Training

Training may commence 14 days after grant approval — applicable at all times.

Public Training (15 Jun – 31 Dec 2026)

During this period, training may commence 3 days after grant approval under the current 2026 requirement.

Public Training (From 1 Jan 2027)

Public training is expected to return to the 14-day post-approval waiting period from 1 January 2027.
